Suites that suit November 24, 2008 06:00:00
|
Saw these bedroom designs that tickle d grey matter. You get just not one, but different kinds of contemporary bedroom furniture. Wood platform beds will be it, what else. A bedroom where the light is right not only looks warm, but also feels calm and inviting. But I look around and see people complaining about lack of open space in the bedroom, and get a cue from it..the demand is also for multi-functional beds that allow two-functions. Clutter or no-clutter, if it saves some of it around, I am sure its worth the dime. More on the matter, laterlemme post these exciting designs I saw on Spacify..:) |
|
The Monterey Platform bed suite is a solution to the clutter, guys. You see it now. The storage headboard is a cool idea, and the bed has six great storage draws. And I absolutely love the cubbies bench with three open storage selves. The nightstands come with two draws and the bed comes wit slats for mattress. What I like is the storage plus great casual appeal.bed available as double suite/queen size. All done in composite wood. |
|
Another storage model that looks alike but has supplementary units I suggest is the Monterey modern which apart from all the units has the choice of dresser/nightstand and also an optional 6-draw dresser, while the central compartment has an adjustable shelf(kewlyeah). Finishcherry/white. |
|
The Sonoma is a suite on similar lines and has a fabulous personal feel. I guess it can help you easily do up the rest of the décor with its all-time neutral finish or minimal modern style. I really hope some of the tips will help you fashion a room that can be your sophisticated snoozing sanctuary or a chilled out dream-time zone. |

Dressing up the light November 21, 2008 06:00:00
|
With all your one liners(thanks) on bathroom décor ideas, contemporary lighting and fancy home décor accessories, let me try to elaborate one idea at a time. Bathroom lighting design cant be separated from rest of the design theme, right? I mean you can have all the fancy stuff hanging in there just by itself. It should flow with rest of the décor tooand thats the part that needs detailed planning. |
|
Here are a few extraordinary designs for the bath. The Wizard(Mr.) is a great space enhancer. But I guess it would go well with conventional bathroom things, you know those Victorian or semi-Victorian classic vanities and oldish art, charms and décor. It has a rustic quality that belongs to another time.timeless era! There are quite some colors to choose from. |
|
Something soft yet uniquethe cup n saucer wall sconce can do a nice surprise job and add a fancy element. The Direct wire sconce is UL-listed and can take up to 75 W at its best. The nickel frame and the choice of colors are all too good. Like I said, get creative and sky is the limit when you are thinking out of the box. I love the hand-colored Cylinder for its bygone charms. Looks more like a candle stand with pastoral charisma. Uses A type bulb (UL-listed) not more than 75W but then these beauties are more of an statement to adorn space more than anything else. Take a look. Its worth your time. |

Rome and Cinnamon!! November 20, 2008 06:00:00
|
Sprucing up a neutral palette of colors in the bedroom may not be your idea of individual taste (unless you like it to the bone). I prefer injection of colors here and there, indirect accents that allow a fine shade to your overalls and the chemistry can be magical. Neutral beddings with purposeful color accents can help you add charms to otherwise dull bedroom furnishings. Home furnishings mean so much more these days.need to dedicate a sole post on the topic some day. |
|
I am putting up a couple of beddings in line with the neutral shades; I guess retiring colors are best for beddings for they have a restful effect. Its a good idea to go in with natural hues.earthy tones.like the Rome comforter set( a tone mod). Something close to my idea of relaxation, this Roman beauty can be set in a day. Includes a kind comforter, 2 king shams, I skirt, bolsters, 2 pillows and 3 euros. Love the blue contrast border against the chocolate brownwhat about you.. |
|
Must also mention the Cinnamon set. The soothing set has rich choc browns with soft ivory accents. The oversized comforter deals with all bed and mattress sizes. What I like is the subtle effect that is immediately calming. The Polyester set is available in Taupe/Mocha.yeah its nice. The Image Blue is probably my favorite, and I love the squares on the comforter, the light shade of blue and the brown contrast otherwise. Available in standard king/queen size. Btw, the cording on sham and comforter is all in place( read wearability)check dem up |

Rugs, on more rugs November 19, 2008 06:00:00
|
Hand-tufted rugs allow great scope for detailed patterns, individual styling and visual effects. The handcrafted art allows a great deal of versatility with its unique processing. I have seen modern area rugs, both contemporary rugs and regular patterns to have a fabulous effect in living areas. It is known fact that hand-tufted carpets absorb noise effectively, well.well.they never stop to fascinate memake great eye-stoppers.here are a few modern patterns I am posting |
|
The Chelsea modern looks like a display of superb craftsmanship. Love the uneven abstract patterns that might also look like stones under your feet! Uses New Zealand wool with Ivory loop backgroundthe pile height is 3/4 inch. I would call it quite trendy, even uber for that matter |
|
The Chelsea designer is more regular stuff that does not require too much of thinking around. The khaki (or chocolate) background is great for highlighting the filigree patterns. The neutral tones should make your job easyit uses NZ wool, and is all velvety to touch? The Linda C rug looks a shade inventive for starts. It has an subdued presence and the modern zig-zag separating the espresso and tan in leather shag accents..its all pretty cool. The pile height is decent at 3/4 inches.it has a modern upbeat feel.I think it is casual and quite stylishlend it your eye |

The Mayan MagiK November 18, 2008 06:00:00
|
Outdoors for sunshine, for rain, for greens, and for fresh air, and morewell..our terrace garden has shaped up well. When something you plan turns up well, it lingers as a feeling of satisfaction. Garden furniture can play a vital role in shaping the exteriors of your home. Summertime or springs, lounging around the pool or patio can be fun. You get patio outdoor furniture in all weather materials that is green and easy to maintain. |
|
A few designs just for your eyesa sectional sofa for outdoor lounge. I like the Mayan sectional sofa for its versatility. The best feature is how easily you can switch it indoors, the wickered sofa uses UV and weather-resistance VIRO fiber, carefully and woven over an extruded powder coated aluminum frame. The designz quite trendy, and the unit has a left 2-seater, right two seater, one corner seat, and an armless seat. I guess you can use it as separately too. |
|
The Mayan modern sofa is one of the Mayan series, with a great design. I like the 3-seater arms, and slightly pushed back backs that looks relaxing. Claims to not fade outdoors, and I love the choice of colorsover 20 great colorstherez size option tooarmchair/love seat/ sofacheck the details |
|
There is a Mayan chaise too..double and single. The height adjustable chaise in wheat wickered would be quite some sight against the pool.the welted cushions are great.and it uses the same weatherproof VIRO fibercheck it up. |

Thanks for the comments and mailsso you want more ideas on play time kids furniture.. cant say I came across many, but here are a couple I really liked. Do keep writing, and I promise to post stuff as and when I see something interesting..thats for surestay tuned |
|
Activity tables make multi-utility furniture for kids. I saw a unit that looks interesting and makes a great day-time table. The Knu kids table looks great for playing toys, trains, drawing, and puzzles.why, I even see kids having a mid-way snack between play times? the Baltic birch ply construction is great, and I love the details like the safe shape of the chairs, and the great colors. The aluminum feet are round and look safe for little ones.sturdy, this one |
|
Pkolinos Child desks are great little things to have around. Goes by the name childrens desk and is a smart compact unit with storage shelf right below the seat, looks good for 26 yr olds.looks great for toddlers learning to draw, write and read.it s really those quick things meant to be handy and all.claims to be easy to assemble.I am looking at more uses.well I can imagine it as a play thing too..let your little one discover? |

Family + time= FUN November 14, 2008 06:00:00
|
Sitting room is no longer just a live and plays space. The concept has turned into practical humdrum. And living room furniture, it has come to mean more than balancing the color on your walls. I have seen great shift of taste and lifestyle that throws the idea around. Family room furniture can add a style dear to you. Interestingly simple items like side tables and end tables can do wonders in adding an element of pleasant contrast. So its my turn with tables, and beauty. |
|
The Raggio I like for its exceptional shape. You notice it a few feet away or tucked against a wall (side tables are just for it) and thats the stuff I mean when I say innovation. The metal base, central tube and the fabulous top, while the toughened glass top looks like icingfine aesthetics |
|
The Otis side table is about fabulous curves. I like the wavesthe five chromed metal legs in contrast to the steady oval top (made of toughened glass). you could just pull it up for coffee.or a chat, or just like that.:) then therez Rick Lees cascade that looks like a multi-functional thing. Let me know if you took it as a trendy stool too, except that you cant be missing out the shelf. An Über design in wood with a tempered glass shelf, it is sturdy, it is chiccheck it out. |

OK. So you guys agree details matter, I could not nod-in more?. Well, sinks get me to the next level mirrors, designer bathroom vanities. Depending on your bathroom designshape and sizego for one that stands in unison with the styling. For instance, bathroom vanity cabinets, modern mirrors and floating shelves could do a lot to save space, add utility and make impressions. |
|
On more bathroom design ideas, watch this space. I guess I will focus on functional vanities for the post. A classic art deco beauty, I like the lines and curves that make the Amerigo Quartz. The best feature I am with is how is holds away from the floor allowing you to look beneath, and adding on the visual space. The quartz on-the-fly concept looks just fine. It uses Capoor hardwood (a rubber tree) known for its natural water-resistant qualities. Details like the air-cushioned doors n draws, best of rollers and hinges tell quality and adds to the longevity. Some pieces are for keeps, like this one. |
|
Pharao may sound like the king house in Egypt. But the design is compact n impressive. Suggest it for smaller bathrooms. The pyramid shapes looks great in integration with the mirror. Worth a look, actually more than it For people with contemporary tastes, I suggest the Carla. The mélange of straight lines and lively colors may need some thoughtful paint job around, but all points for innovation. The vanity surely has an upbeat happy feel about it. |

Fancy Post! November 12, 2008 06:00:00
|
Fancy hair color.fancy car seats and fancy lens hueshmmm. fancy this, fancy that; wonder whether my moods turn fancier too. How about some fancy leather sofas and accent chairs???? Yes, I am inspired. The modern sofa means more than fancy furniture though; it also means comfort and relaxation. I guess aesthetics do matter, but this post is high on it..check up a couple of designs.for your eyes |
|
Quite a designthe Velocity (force multiplied by acceleration!) has a new formula. Just keep musing if it is comfy too.but surely a stunner. Love the way the leather covers the base and swivels all the way upspace age stuffI know you like it tooFancier would be the Specter swivel. The seat is almost a modified spaceship..:) the hi-back is remarkable, the seat spreads lavishly, say we like the bizarre its futuristic stuff and makes an impact. |
|
Before I decide to fly out, let me point out another great designthe Baron armchair. love the verticalscontoured styling. Its not leather, its leatherette, so get to wash it too. Nice stuffeh |

Bathroom sinks at stake November 11, 2008 06:00:00
|
The idea of counting bathroom sinks as an essential in the list of bathroom accessories may not be everybodys cup of tea. How many times have you seen a perfect bathroom with the sink playing central in shaping the aesthetics? I do believe that apart from regular bathroom furniture like vanity and cabinets, details like faucets and sinks and fine mirror and lights can be used to your advantage, depending on the right details for your space. |
|
Recently, I saw some great bathroom sinks in deep vessel shape (actually I was looking around for a friend) and thought it should be a post. The designs are fresh. For space constricted areas, try the unusual Calvin in glass. Glass with its transparency bestows a space with a roomy feel. The size is ideal for slight spaces, and I love green leafy design. There is pop-up drain and the double-layer glass may look petite but is sturdy. If you like this, try the Smeralda (this onez abstract). I dont know if you feel it too, but I kept thinking of an unusual art piece (or fruit basket) every time I laid my eyes. The branch veins are cool, and the green is a shade soother. |
|
Water splashhhhhhhhhhhhing kids at home? NO? lucky you. We have a bunch of them and I think the Gafna may be the most intelligent (and artistic, depends the way you look) choice for your bathroom. The deep vessel designs are great for kids, but I love the water painted double-glass design. Check it up. |

Women Architects November 10, 2008 06:00:00
In the wake of US OF A making history with nomination of its first Black candidate for a supreme job, I would like to dedicate some blogs to Women and Minority designers in the field of architecture and furniture design.
LILY REISCH Co- designer of Barcelona chair
Accredited for co-designing some of Mies most famous works - his Barcelona chair, also known as the pavilion chair and the Brno chair, Reich started her career as a modernist designer with textile and fashion design. She met Mies Van Der Rohe at the Werkbund, a German association for artists, architects, designers, and industrialists. For thirteen years between 1925 and 1938, when Mies immigrated to the USA, the couple shared personal and professional domains. Interestingly, Albert Pheiffer, Vice President of Design and Management at Knoll, who has been researching on Reich for some time points out:
"It became more than a coincidence that Miess involvement and success in exhibition design began at the same time as his personal relationship with Reich". And "It is interesting to note that Mies did not fully develop any contemporary furniture successfully before or after his collaboration with Reich."
Eileen Gray (again one of my faves) was born in an aristocratic Irish family. One of the pioneers of modern design during the 1920s and 30s, her tubular steel furniture design were ground breaking. The Bibendum chair designed by Eileen Gray in the early 1900s was largely forgotten until an original surfaced in a 1972 auction prompting a new production of this design classic. In the second stage of her career, Eileen Gray switched to architecture and continued producing masterpieces. And her legendary Adjustable Table E 1027 has been added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. I saw a replica of the Adjustable table at Spacify with a 10 year warrantycheck it out.
There are other designs by Reich and Rohe like the popular Barcelona day bed and the Bench. Priceless modern classics..

Olympics and Wine Country November 7, 2008 06:00:00
My annual summer trip this year to the Wine country took me to Dominics winery located off the highway 29. I was reminiscing the movie Sideways and had packed my picnic basket to indulge. As I looked around, I saw a simple modern structure rooted in the outdoor landscape. The structure seemed like an extension of the "the buildings skin made of modular gabions of wire mesh containing masses of locally quarried stone of different shapes and sizes. It is the technology commonly used in river engineering - made rigid by a metal structure, also modular, on the interior." The name behind the structureHerzog & De Meurona Swiss architectural firm founded by Jacques Herzog and Pierre De Meuron and headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. In 2001, Herzog & de Meuron were awarded the Pritzker Prize, the highest of honors in architecture.
Yes, the name is familiar with the 2008 Olympics stadium in Beijing. The spectacular centrepiece for the 2008 Beijing Olympics designed by engineers Arup, Herzog & De Meuron architects and China Architecture Design & Research Group has been marvelled at. The buildings vast scale and dramatic form created another icon for China and Beijing alongside the Water Cube, the aquatic centre for the Games, designed by Arup. From architecture to outdoor furniture, I seem to be drinking from d cup.. heymust mention some great Mayan designs I saw last weekend(.not from the civilization but real cool ones). All three tables possess something in commoninventive designing. The Mayan square dining table in wicker and aluminium has a wacky quality about itself. Perhaps the Mayan range looks all intimate and innovative. The glass top saves weathering, and I like the fact that it can be used both indoors/outdoors. The lavish square spread is considerate too.
| |
The Mayan Round looks like d thing for outdoors. I like the round shape that seats about 6 people at a go. But more than it I love the multi-utility, can be easily shifted indoors. And I like the Mayan side table for its versatility. Btw, all the tables use UV and weather-resistant VIRO fiber hand woven over an extruded powder coated aluminum frame. And claim not to fade easily(good news). This patio table can easily pass of as end table indoors?contemporary furniture this isno doubts!

At once, at home. October 24, 2008 05:00:00
How we feel the mounting pressures of a hectic lifestyle! I eagerly look forward to returning back home after a long day, unwind and feel cozy. Living room, in fact every room of the home needs to be fashioned around relaxation, a retreat and an offbeat up-time space with a harmonious environment. At the same time the contemporary sofa needs to match up the changing lifestyle statement. It calls for factors on sensuality, independence and a BIG element of comfort.
It may not be as challenging to get your living room personalized to individual needs. Focus on real fun things you enjoyed as a child, a teenager, it may sound silly, but try basking in the same comfort levels before to think of a revamp or décor scheme. On some really nice contemporary sofa designs, I have 3 on list. The company is Dauphin(calls itself a humandesign company), and the styles are Pod- single, Pod-2 seater and the Pod-bench(lounge).
| |
The Pod single has a fat-fat seat, and looks quite inviting. If it wasnt for the clean symmetry, we would be lost. Inspired by George Jetson, the polished steel legs stand out. I like the spoilt looks, and the aniline leather that has been treated for flame resistance. The inclined back is cool. You get to choose the leather upholstery.
| |
An extension of the single is the 2-seater POD. I am in love with the chrome plated centre arm. All the choices and stuff is same, human designhmmmgot it now. The Lounge bench follows the same pattern and lines, but at the end is a headrest and side arm. Looks like a one-person seat, but you can opt for two arms and seat two. A work of art, the leather sofa furniture.wat say!

Design is work of .. October 22, 2008 05:00:00
Ok. For all you interested in convertible cribs, I have good news. Why..I could not have imagined such high response on kids room furniture. To begin with, expecting parents do not be overwhelmed with what is going to be right for your new born. Well, you could ask new parents, or may be parents of slightly older kids, and they will offer sound advice(call it fresh bout of experience). And for kids bedroom furniture, keep watching this space for dynamic designs and décor concepts..and relax, things always fall into place with insightful thinking.
| |
I am suggesting three great models Morgan & Austin by Ducduc and the Studio by Nurseryworks. The Morgan has all the essential elements to call it the complete thing. The best featuresconverts to a full-length toddler bed without a conversion kit(yeah) and the cool storage draws(with leather pulls and signature orange interiors..:). All the safety regulars are in placethe finish is hand-rubbed and non-toxic, has a platform style mattress support, four mattress heights, fixed rails and a mortise-n-tenon construction.
To match up to a regular crib, I like the Austin crib that comes with an optional bed conversion kit. A neat design with the perpendicular side rails(with lock-mitre joints), looks like symmetrical and all. Claims to not use MDF/particle board, must mention all Ducduc products claim to use sustainable harvested grain-matched hardwood(Im with the green cause)
| |
The Studio crib is all brains n beauty(trying it the other way). Makes use of flexible and interchangeable componentry, I like the overall concept n aesthetics. Best featuresunder crib draw, the changing table hideaway cabinets for tid-bits, the changing table mechanism that is smooth and easy, and the best coming upconverts to toddler bedroom furniture (read daybed) and built-in desk. All in all, its a chic thing with umpteen loads of attitude. Check out the finish and colors.etc etc..

Furniture for Teens October 21, 2008 05:00:00
Teenage is a bumpy time. The energy, peer pressure, pimples(!!!weve all bin there), need for association, add studies barging hormones and the desire to be accepted as it is. Well, I feel the need to cover up more on teen stuff, kids storage and kids furniture and décor.lets start with some cool designs(just for gen X ). Very few baby furniture stores display specific segment for teens. Here goes my list of faves.just for you all out there.hang in.there will be more
| |
The Cameron storage bench is hip. I love the metal frame and handles and the camouflaged patterns and the cool green seat. It has a rugged upbeat feel and attitude. The drawer faces are reversible, and it displays reversible PVC on the other side. Yes, the casters are in place.
The Teen rolling bench is quite fashionable and functional. The white PVC cushion turns into a writing surface with a flip. It has a storage area below, and casters for mobility. The orange and white panels look spirited.Tthe casters can be assembled easily.
| |
Then there is the Bauble Girls storage that appears like a shade card. I think it is chirpy. With six drawers, I am sure girls will find all the space to stack up things. The upholstered seat in pink uses microfiber, and the casters need assembly. Check up the exact colors

Like Bunk, like metal.. October 21, 2008 05:00:00
I see all you feedback on kids bunk beds and it appears like some of you are looking for more designsso keep posting your comments with suggested topics, emails are fine and comments are great. Some different concepts that struck me as novel are a couple of designs by Powell. Metal bunk beds are in for kids bedroom furniture.been hearing all about it
| |
The Max Twin I like for its mastery of color details, and prudent use of space. The top twin size bed, and full size below is the thing for siblings, sleepovers, and story time. The gauge metal tubing looks robust, the guardrails thoughtful and the slat system(for mattress) in pl ace. A fine design.
I think the Tiziana to be an inventive design. The futon bed plus twin bed is def. out of the box stuff. Bunk bed has heavy gauge metal tubing, full length guardrails, and welded metal slat system for mattress support. You could attach the ladder on either side of the bed. I like the combo of country pine and black.though some colors would have been better.
| |
The Ontario 3-in-1 is impressive. I like the burnished brown finish(looks classy to me) and the possibility of a trundle bed beneath the full bed, the composition has a quality of unity, and I like the way the twin bed appears to be standing separately on the full. Claims to meet Consumer Product Safety Commission mandatory safety standards. To me, it is a great design and storage solution.

Bed b-u-g-s ! October 17, 2008 05:00:00
Kids bedding is an area that allows you to plunge into change and lively colors. We are known to change Js bedding sets once in a while, it brings in a whiff of freshness and kids love to see different hues and shades in their rooms. There are times that we rack our brains on different patterns to team it along with new things like kids bedroom furniture set, murals, playroom furniture n child bedroom furniture, but later all the work seems so rewarding, and I often end up going through a list of to dos and comparing it with whats been done.
Recently saw these bedding sets for kids room , and thought of posting them. Around the world sounds like a movie except that it isnt! The Oko-tex set (OKo set is an European certification process that ensures against any harmful use of chemicals to human health) has a jolly feel about it. Love the parachute, cloud on the sham and n the concoction of shapes on the duvet. The set has a twin duvet cover and sham cover, unless you buy the happy dot set at extra price. The dots go well with the theme, but I can see it go well against many other prints in fitted sheets. Uses 200-count cotton thread. Its a girls setthoroughly.
The Lantern festival set has the chicest of colors and patterns for little girls. And lots of floating patterns to keep it lively. Lantern festivalsmiles. Again, it has a matching sham case, and you can buy rest of the happy set, which has twin flat sheets, fitted sheet and pillow case. The edged elastic around the fitted sheet is a good idea.
Something for boys. I like the Carnival for its lively patterns and prudent use of color contrasts. The set has a twin duvet cover and sham case. I love the way it feels.the blue and all. Oh yes, you can opt for the Orange Mosaic, and happy dot set too..

Active space.. October 16, 2008 05:00:00
Few of us understand and relate to the quandary of active space. When it comes to kids, detangle the web of rules. I feel kids room furniture to be a challenge of its kind, for it calls for a host of practical details like clever use of space, allowing a trace of liveliness and source of high function and action.
| |
Contemporary Storage in context to toddler furniture calls for a range of modular choices and designs. And we are getting there, artfully, at least thats what I feel after taking a look at the design scenario. I like the Tommy-5 draw chest by Powell. The drawers are roomy and the design peppy. Done in green dowell frame, the yellow panels stand out in harmony. I like the spindles and storage volume.
Call it a spindle series, but I love the Tommy entertainment unit in navy blue and red. With two spacious draws and open shelves, it appears more than complete for little kids. The Plasma/LCD/TV comes on top, and the video unit belowthe spindles are in natural wood color..sprightly unit, this one
| |
Tommy series dresser is an extension of the concept . Love the mirror in blue and red border with the top spindles(though you could opt without one). The 6-auto stopping draws look roomy. The space below the mirror is average. What I love is the built in factor, no need for assembly. And its great for little soldiers and princess both.adaptable systems for childrens bedroom furniture.

Changing TimesChanging Tables October 15, 2008 05:00:00
Modern baby furniture must include changing tables for babies, cribs(future toddler bed) and student desks for growing up toddlers. I agree. They say habits be inculcated at an early age, and play an important role in future map of little ones. I have been meaning to start reading books to N since she has turned 8 months, and started
On changing tables as kids room furniture, I suggest three models. The Loom changing table is decent. Well, the design details-- a top tray fit for diapers and toiletries, canvas bag included, sliding storage tray, and the side rails and top compartments can be easily removed. The 2-door cabinet looks roomy. I like the details and subdued charms.
I like the Delphi for its unique storage and cantilevered changing table. The best feature: you can change the baby from either side or centre as per your convenience. Can be used as a stand alone unit. I like the three storage draws, and the storage compartments. Its nice.
Its called the Two wide changing table. I like the modular impact it makes. Customizable as a cabinet and three or six drawers, or all drawers. Best features: removable tray, connected draws and a shelf inside the cabinet. I like the snow color, there are others, check up

Boxes and Toys October 14, 2008 05:00:00
Baby furniture, kids storage, childrens bedroom furniturewhat next? I should have seen all your mails to get the hint. Well, storage did strike me as an important element, and I do understand that clutter can get unnerving at times, and you just keep wondering whether you should let kids be kids or just try to set up the rules first. I suggest you relax, and let them be kids. For the clutter, you can always have something like a toy bin/box and ask them to put back the toys once the playtime is over.
Take a look at the Fuji toy box handcrafted(yes) using birchwood. I like the storage idea that doubles up as the fun bench on the floor. The slow closing lid on top is designed for the safety of little hands, and the unit can be moved around. I can but feel the excitement of evening play times in the patio with the mobile play bin! The choice of colors is fine
For older kids, I suggest the Eiffel contemporary on wheels..wheeeeeew. its a rather cute design with a central open space for display. More of a display unit with rectangular book shelves around. Its a fun design.also check out the cool loom storage system designed after you know what?
I think its nice and all for older kids, the aesthetics are superb. The idea is to store, play and sit. And be on move. The Trolley toy storage fits under the base unit with ease, the multifunctional trolley acting as a seating unit and the base with subdivided tray functions alone as a desk for study/play (play looks more on the mind with kids anyway). Best features: one base unit with two top units for storage, individual pieces can be stacked or used separately, has a kit for securing system to wall for safety(did it look like it will slide on to you at first glance). Well.non-toxic lacquer and veneers, water-resistant fabric are in place. I really think its a unique design..give it your eye
